Net Income vs Revenue vs Total Assets

    Annual Net Income

Adobe’s annual net income hit $4.82 billion in 2021, a surprising 8.37% decrease from 2020, due to the change in the provision for income taxes and the increase in operating expenses.

If the otherwise positive trend continues, the annual net income will reach $5.87 billion in 2022 and $7.45 billion in 2024.

    Employee Count & Demographics

    Number of employees

At the end of 2021, Adobe reported that it had 25,988 employees, up 15.4% from 22,516 a year earlier. Adobe’s headcount has steadily increased year over year since 2014. The only year in which the number decreased slightly was 2020 due to the global pandemic, which made it difficult to hire new employees.

According to my projections, Adobe will employ more than 28,000 people in 2022 and nearly 36,000 in 2024.

    Nationality

Adobe also reported several years in a row that 52% of all employees were in the United States and 48% in international locations. As a result, Adobe has around 13,500 employees in the US.

Additionally, Adobe strives for diversity among its employees, thus employing people regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, cultural background, or religious belief. In 2021, 10.9% of the US employees were part of the underrepresented minorities (“URMs”).

    Gender diversity

Women make up 33.8% of Adobe’s global workforce.

    Price per Share

Inc. stock has gained 194,563 times its original value since 1986 (from $0.21/share to $420/share in 2022). Its value peaked at $699.54/share on November 29, 2021. The value of Adobe stock has declined during 2022, likely due to lower sales in Eastern Europe.

Currently, Adobe Inc.’s market cap sits just above US$200 billion at 4.22 million shares.

    Number of Creative Cloud Users

Adobe Creative Cloud was launched on April 22, 2012. By March 2013, it had raked together more than half a million users, increasing to 1.4 million by the end of the year. Since then, Adobe hasn’t released any numbers, so it was estimated that by the end of 2017, Creative Cloud had over 12 million active subscribers.

Photutorial estimates that Creative Cloud reached 22 million active subscribers by the end of 2021. By the end of 2022, that number will have risen to 24.5 million, and by the end of 2024, it’ll be nearly 30 million.

So, how many active users does Adobe Creative Cloud have right now? In the middle of 2022, Creative Cloud has around 23 million active users.
