Motion Array is a comprehensive, multifaceted platform designed to meet the creative needs of video editors, marketers, and multimedia professionals. It is a one-stop shop for premium stock media, including video footage, music tracks, sound effects, video templates, and more. But what sets Motion Array apart from its counterparts is its integrated video collaboration, review tools, and website portfolio builder.

What’s new with Motion Array?

In recent updates, Motion Array has expanded its toolkit to include tools once exclusive to standalone video editing software, like transition effects, color grading presets, and title animations. These advancements provide users with a more comprehensive, all-in-one solution for their creative needs.

The platform also includes a built-in website builder, which allows users to showcase their work and market their services online. This unique offering distinguishes Motion Array from other stock media platforms, making it not just a resource hub but also a full-featured marketing tool for creative professionals.

Furthermore, Motion Array has taken steps to simplify licensing. Their licensing model now allows unlimited downloads and usage of their assets, and the rights to use these assets remain valid forever, even if a subscription is canceled. This robust licensing approach makes Motion Array an incredibly practical and economical solution for creative professionals.

How much does Motion Array cost?

Motion Array pricing is based around three subscription plans: Monthly ($29.99/mo), Annual ($19.99/mo; $239.88/yr), and Team ($37.50/mo). Every plan grants you unlimited downloads of all Motion Array assets, a royalty-free license, Adobe extension, and other plugins.

Although the annual discount might be enticing, we recommend against immediately springing for discounted long-term plans. Instead, start with a short-term plan so you can try out the service.

Motion Array accepts payment with VISA, Master Card, American Express, and Paypal, and all major credit cards. As of this writing, Motion Array is not the cheapest nor the most expensive resource of stock assets.

You can get other top stock video subscriptions for less. Envato Elements, for example, is just $16.50 per month with the annual plan while having a large collection of videos and other assets. You can also get additional discounts with Envato Elements, such as the student discount and our 70% off deal.

What do you get for your money at Motion Array?

An active subscription grants you unlimited access to the entire, yet small, collection of Motion Array stock assets. It contains 90,000 videos, 60,000 video templates, 100,000 audio clips, and sound effects, and 30,000 images. To put that into perspective, Envato Elements offers 4.5 million videos, 84,000 video templates, 8.4 million images, 800,000+ audio clips, and sound effects at a lower cost.

By subscribing, you will also get access to 40+ plugins compatible with Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and other video editing apps. These will make basic and advanced editing much easier. However, you will still have to purchase those programs on your own.

Everything you download from Motion Array is protected by the Motion Array license defined in the Terms of Service. It’s a royalty-free license, meaning you can use everything you download forever without having to pay royalties. Your only obligation is to use the content as described by the license.

Motion Array License

As a straightforward, robust solution for multimedia projects, Motion Array simplifies licensing. Regardless of the project’s nature, size, or distribution, Motion Array’s licensing model ensures comprehensive coverage. Here’s how it works: paid members can use any of the assets available in Motion Array, and they are covered by a broad, unrestricted usage license. This applies to all sorts of projects, whether it’s social media marketing, company communications, YouTube monetization, broadcast television, feature films, sports programming, live events, non-profit communications, or advertising.

One standout feature is the long-term reliability of this license (it’s a royalty-free license). Once you’ve used an asset in a project as a paid member, that project remains covered by Motion Array’s license forever, even if you decide to cancel your membership at some point. When it comes to downloads, the unlimited download license means you can use as many assets as you want from the marketplace in as many projects as you desire as long as you maintain a paid membership. If you cancel, you can no longer use the downloaded assets in new projects. However, all videos created and published during an active subscription are covered forever under the terms of service.

Of course, there are some specifics to keep in mind. Certain stock footage and images are earmarked for “Editorial Use Only,” typically when they contain people, locations, or trademarks that haven’t signed a release for commercial use. That said, most assets are completely cleared for commercial use, barring a minority of image and video assets labeled as “Editorial Use Only”.

Regarding music tracks, while they are royalty-free, you may register your music with a performance rights organization (P.R.O.) or Content ID outside of Motion Array. This requires additional steps for reporting and ensuring that only licensed use is permitted.

Should you get Motion Array?

Paying for Motion Array can be a good idea in the following two scenarios:

  1. Motion Array is the only site that offers the asset you need, and you cannot find it anywhere else.
  2. You tried alternatives such as Envato Elements or Artlist but didn’t like them.

Undeniably, Motion Array is one of the best stock video sites for editors, but it’s not necessarily the best for you. You should pick the one that fits your budget, content needs, and feels intuitive.
