Reka.ai partners with Shutterstock to enhance AI and metadata capabilities

Reka, a developer of industry-leading multimodal AI models, has announced a multi-year partnership with Shutterstock, a global creative platform.

This collaboration will see Reka licensing Shutterstock’s extensive library of digital visual assets to advance its multimodal language AI models. Shutterstock will also become a customer of Reka, using its models to enhance metadata for its image and video library.

Shutterstock plans to integrate Reka’s AI models to augment and enhance the metadata attached to its extensive library of digital assets.

This move aligns with Shutterstock’s commitment to AI innovation and its goal to empower storytellers worldwide by bridging the gap between ideas and execution. The announcement comes less than a week after Shutterstock announced a partnership with ElevenLabs and two months after partnering with Nvidia.

Reka, founded by scientists and engineers from DeepMind, Google Brain, and FAIR, is known for its cutting-edge multimodal AI models. These models enable individuals and organizations to deploy generative AI applications effectively.
